APA Intro due September 17
-400 word maximum, choose the most important factors
-Sample/example is required and takes up some of the word count
-Absolutely no plagiarism.
-Do not include history -> Make the paper practical not historical
Journals
-Journals will consist of three parts
1. Take home literature (can be readings or videos or any form of literature)
2. In class discussions (in small groups
3. Debrief (short lecture) from the prof
3 Levels of Comprehension
-Literal Level (text)
>Understanding "concrete" dimension
>Understanding text in a literal form
>Most basic comprehension level
-Interpretive Level
>Metaphors, Idiums etc
>Asking questions - "What might this mean"
>Understanding the text deeper - reading between the lines
>Exploring all possible meanings
-Critical/Analytical Level
>Cannot be reached without having a thorough understanding of the previous two levels
>Adds past and current context (outside of text)
>Explores how the text could fit into a larger picture (micro/macro)
>This is the level that is used for research
