APA INTRODUCTION
Short Writing Task
Sept. 2012

Write a short introduction to APA Style. Your work should be 2-4 paragraphs long and no more than 400 words.

Avoid writing about its history and do not merely cut and paste from wikipedia or any other source. You must identify APA style and describe it, mention its purpose or function and its main features. Also provide an example. When you have finished you should know its purpose and something about presentation.

Since you probably don’t know much about APA Style right now, you will have to find your information in other sources. Use the internet to find relevant, appropriate sources. You may quote or paraphrase these sources.

Your final work must be wordprocessed and ready to hand in at the beginning of class next week.

This is worth 5% of your final mark, so try to get off to a good start. Don’t procrastinate and try to think ahead to what is expected of you and what you are supposed to learn from this very short, very straightforward task.

Should we include a separate references page, or is referencing throughout enough?

IF WE are quoting or paraphrasing and using other source for information, then we have to include reference page. That is what i believe Very Happy

Im pretty sure that as long as you are citing EVERYTHING and make sure there is nothing that can be called "plagiarizing" you should be fine.
I mean, the whole point of references is to show where you found the information and that the information you're giving is true.
So as long as you make sure to clearly cite ALL your references, you should be okay.

Unless instructed otherwise, you should always create a title page and separate reference page (if applicable).

That doesn't mean to not include in-text citations.
