Narrative = story (beginning, middle, end)
Narration = preposition (telling of story on instance) - includes language use.
Example: voice changes every time the SAME story is being re-told.
Narrator = 1st, 2nd, 3rd person narrative voice.
1st person: I, Me, We --> interior, limited, and intimate (close)
2nd person: you --> used more for creative marks, but since it is only formal marks, do no use it!
3rd person: they, she, he --> exterior, and more unlimited.

Status Quo: introduction and/or current situation of the characters
Complication: begins the rising action. Includes steps like a staircase (beats). The beats make up the rising action, and at the end of each beat, there is a new complication.
Climax: breakthrough of the story -- reader can usually tell that it is coming
New Status Quo: loose ends are tied up, and the new situation is stated.
